Will I have to go to ‘Court’?

Employment disputes are usually dealt with in a tribunal, if no agreement can be reached. It is Milwyn Jenkins & Jenkins' practice to consider all options for trying to resolve issues of this kind in order to minimise the stress in what is already a difficult situation and to keep the costs as low as possible. How long does it take?

It usually takes about 2 - 3 months to reach a negotiated settlement. A claim for unfair dismissal must be made within three months from the date of your dismissal. In Milwyn Jenkins & Jenkins' experience, most cases are dealt with within 5 – 6 months from when proceedings are commenced.
